Our client, a large city investment bank, has a new opportunity for an AML analyst with extensive prior banking and/or brokerage experience.
The role would entail daily analyses and monitoring of high client information and transactions as well as conducting high-level investigations of potentially suspicious activity and issues involving legal, regulatory and reputational risks.
The analyst would be expected to perform due diligence reviews and draft risk analyses reports.
The ideal candidate would have strong investigative skills, background and strong understanding of the securities industry, the ability to collaborate with others, and prior AML/Financial Crime compliance experience.
Principal Responsibilities
- Daily surveillance of clients accounts for anomalous, high risk or negative information.
- Daily analysis of Sanctions screening results
- Performing in-depth investigations of potentially suspicious activity and/or market abuse. Such investigations may require reviewing historical trade activity, interaction with other compliance representatives, business persons as well as reviewing public records for negative information.
- Providing guidance to internal clients on appropriate application of existing policy. Such guidance requires understanding of corporate structures in general and the ability to research new ones.
Skills
- Prior brokerage experience with extensive knowledge of financial markets and products. Prior compliance experience is preferable and any prior AML/KYC experience would be a bonus.
