Stock Loan Trade Support Analyst Ongoing City of London £200 / day

 

Our Client, a leading investment bank, is looking to recruit a Stock Loan Trade Support Analyst with a strong understanding of the securities lending market.

Key Responsibilities

- Resolve trade queries from internal and external sources on a timely basis to ensure timely and successful settlement.
- Assist support groups in the resolution of failing trades, primarily borrow returns & Prime Brokerage lending trades.

- Daily interaction with the Stock Loan trading desk, Settlements, Asset Services and other internal departments to resolve queries relating to Stock Loan activity.

- Provide suggestions for Prime Brokerage borrow & return requirements into Stock loan trading system.
- Ensure market returns are booked & called in to street counterparts in line with market deadlines.
- Manage depot holdings of the UK positions across all ML depots (PB and Firm), covering shorts, utilising longs and managing the daily DBV process.

- Manage settlement of ETF’s and Buy-in resolution

- Daily reconciliation of Stock Loan stock and cash breaks.

- Ability to work accurately under pressure to achieve daily milestones dictated by external market and client timeframes; escalate potential failures in a timely concise manner.

Skills/ Experience

- Stock Loan Experience
- Strong understanding of the securities lending market, trading processes and associated risks - preferably with experience of a stock loan trade support group in a top tier investment bank.
- UK settlements
- Experience of the UK stock loan market is essential with an in-depth knowledge of DBV market practices and associated operational processes.
- Previous experience of stock & cash reconciliations beneficial
- Excel – Advanced
- Attention to detail and consistent accurate work.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to converse at all levels and deal with conflict on a daily basis.

- A-Level/Degree or equivalent
